Our Story

Based in Helsinki, Re-Offline designs ways for people to reconnect.

Our work began with simple physical tools, starting with card games, created to slow conversations down, open space for reflection, and bring people fully into the moment. Those tools remain part of what we create today.

Over time, the work grew beyond objects.

Today, Re-Offline brings together a community and the experiences that grow from it, known as Offline Moments. Through gatherings, events, exhibitions, awards, and curated encounters, we create spaces where people choose presence over distraction.

Alongside this, we collaborate with organizations and communities to design meaningful offline formats that strengthen human connection.

Ou Game - Amos Rex

A Foresight-Driven Design Collaboration

In 2023–2024, we partnered with Amos Rex Museum to explore new ways of engaging visitors through play, language, and emotional connection. The outcome: Ou Game, a trilingual card experience inviting guests to connect with art — and with each other.

The project drew on foresight, service design, and educational theory. We asked: How can museums become spaces for dialogue rather than observation?

Ou Game reimagines museum learning as inclusive, playful, and multilingual — Finnish, Swedish, and English on every card. It lowers barriers to art by turning curiosity into connection and transforming a visit into a shared story.

For us at Re-Offline, Ou Game is more than a product — it’s a prototype for the future of cultural engagement, and a step toward museums as studios for human connection.

Re-Offline Ecosystem

Re-Offline is a living ecosystem for building human connection in real life. Everything we do belongs to a shared process of learning, testing, and evolving how people come together offline.

At its core, Re-Offline brings together three connected layers.

Offline Moments is the community layer. It brings people into shared offline experiences and cultural formats, including gatherings, events, exhibitions, awards, and public encounters.

Tngl Studio is the design and production layer. It creates physical tools, card games, and formats that support meaningful interaction and can be used by individuals, communities, and organizations.

The Lab is the research and foresight layer. It explores future ways of connecting, studies emerging social needs, and feeds insights back into both tools and experiences.

Together, these layers form a continuous loop between research, design, and culture. Each informs the other, allowing Re-Offline to grow as both a community and a practice.
